Please remember to take the following steps to insure a successful planting:

• Solicit donations for food, etc.
• Advertise your planting day & recruit volunteers
• Purchase supplies
• Arrive at your site on-time and enthusiastic
• Ask volunteers to sign-in
• Plant, mulch and stake all of your trees
• Have fun!
• Take care of your trees

The first month after your planting you should…

• WATER your trees!
• Complete match form and return to WPC (electronically if possible)
• Make a copy of your sign-in sheet, along with any receipts for your match information, and return to WPC

The first year after your planting you should…

• WATER your trees!
• Work with Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest to organize tree care days in your neighborhood
• Remove stakes and arbor tie after 1-year
• Identify additional places to plant trees and apply again to TreeVitalize
